Mary's Coconut Cream Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
3 c. milk1 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 c. coconut
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg yolks
Cooking Directions:
Heat milk to scalding. Add sugar, flour, salt, stir until smooth. Cook 2 minutes. Beat egg yolks, add a bit of the milk mixture. Then pour back into pan and continue cooking until thick. Add coconut, butter, vanilla. Top with whipping cream.NOTE: For Banana pie, omit coconut. Add banana.
