Glazed Apple Pie Slices Recipe
Ingredients:
2 double pie crust recipes1/2 c. hot water
1/4 c. corn flake crumbs
10 c. peeled and thinly sliced apples
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. powdered sugar
1 - 2 tbsp. water
Cooking Directions:
Roll 1/2 of pie crust into 15 x 12 inch rectangle. Place in 15 x 10 inch pan. Sprinkle corn flakes over dough. Toss apples with lemon juice, layer over dough. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt. Sprinkle over apples. Dot with butter. Roll remaining dough into 15 x 12 inch rectangle and place on top of apples. Prick crust with fork. Brush top crust with egg. Bake for 60 to 65 minutes until golden. Combine powdered sugar and water and beat until smooth. Drizzle on warm pastry. Cool completely. Cut into 48 bars.Other Recipes you might like:
