Soft Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. brown sugar1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. boiled raisins
5 tbsp. raisin juice
1 tsp. rounded soda
2 c. quick oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Cooking Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs, boiled raisins and vanilla. Measure hot raisin juice in separate bowl, adding water to make 5 tablespoons if needed. Add soda to hot juice and stir into sugar mixture. Stir in oatmeal and flour. Sometimes I put in chocolate chips and leave out the raisins. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes.Other Recipes you might like:
