Salt Water Taffy Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c. sugar2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
Cooking Directions:
Mix in a saucepan sugar and cornstarch then add remaining ingredients. Boil until sugar is dissolved. Continue to cook without stirring until temperature reaches 260 degrees or until hard ball forms in cold water. After boiling has ceased stir in flavoring and food coloring (optional). Pour onto a cookie sheet. Let stand until cool enough to handle. Butter palms and pull taffy until a satin look appears. Makes 1 pound.Other Recipes you might like:
