Buttercream Decorating Icing Recipe
Ingredients:
2 heaping tbsp. butter1 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
1 heaping tbsp. sour cream
Cooking Directions:
Whip above ingredients together. This must look airy and about double the quantity you started with. Using a hand mixer, this will take 15-20 minutes. Slowly add: 2 pounds (1 bag) powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix in until all is mixed, then put on high speed. Watch out for flying frosting! This should whip for another 10 minutes. When all this is done, you should have double the original amount and a light and airy frosting. Add coloring as desired. Use to decorate cupcakes, cookies, or cakes.Other Recipes you might like:
