Mrs. Webbs Cinnamon Rolls And Donuts Recipe
Ingredients:
2 pkgs. yeast dissolved in 1 c. warm water1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
Cooking Directions:
Let stand 10 minutes then add:1 c. water1/2 c. sugar3 eggs1 tsp. salt
Mix well and add flour until thick enough to make stiff dough. Let rise. Roll out in rectangle for rolls. Spread with butter, cinnamon and nuts (optional). Roll as for jelly roll. Pinch sides together and cut. Place in pan which has been buttered and brown sugar sprinkled in bottom. Let rise.
Bake at 300 to 350 degrees until done. May cut out like biscuits. Place in pan over the butter, brown sugar and nuts. Let rise double in bulk.
Donuts: Roll out, cut out donuts. Let rise. Fry in oil. Make glaze from powdered sugar, water, butter and flavoring. Dip donuts in glaze. Serve warm.
