Grandma Smith's Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients:
3 pkg. dry yeast2 c. warm water
2 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
6 c. flour
Butter
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
Con fectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Milk
Cooking Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl; let stand a few minutes. Add shortening, sugar and salt; mix. Add eggs and 1/2 of flour. Mix well. Add rest of flour. Mix well and cover and let rise until double. Stir down and let rise again. Roll out on floured surface. Spread butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon and white sugar. Roll into log and cut into 1/2 inch slices. Place in pan and let rise until double. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool and spread on frosting.Other Recipes you might like:
